Travel Directions to Parkergate and Mireside Farmhouse

Please go to Parkergate first to collect the key. Take exit 40 off the M6 motorway and follow the A66 as far as the Keswick roundabout. Take the 3rd exit i.e. the A591 signed for Bothel and Carlisle. Follow this for approximately 6 miles; 500 yards after you see the Ravenstone Hotel you will see Parkergate B & B on your left. Take the 2nd entrance, after the bend.

After picking up the key, continue along the A591 for another mile until you pass St. John's Church. At the Bassenthwaite village crossroad, turn left down a narrow lane signed to Scarness. After 500 yards, turn left down the farm track with 2 green wheelie bins at the end. Follow this track until you see Mireside Farmhouse on the right. Turn into the farmyard and bear right.

From the north:

Take the A595 south from Carlisle. At Bothel, turn lets along the A591 signed to Keswick. Continue along the A591 for 6 miles, past Bassenthwaite village, up a hill with "S" bends, past a sign to Orthwaite off to the left. Continue on the main road another 100 metres, Parkergate is on the right.
